Rooted in Your Cycle
Learn your body’s language. Understand your cycle.
Make informed choices with greater confidence.
Your menstrual cycle is more than the arrival of your period each month. It is a dynamic process that offers meaningful information about your hormones, ovulation, fertility, and overall reproductive health.
Yet most of us were never taught how to recognize that information. We were taught to manage our periods, rely on predictions, or ignore our cycles until we wanted—or urgently did not want—to become pregnant.
Rooted in Your Cycle is an eight-session, one-on-one fertility-awareness and menstrual-cycle education program designed to change that.
Together, we’ll explore the science of your cycle, practice observing and charting your fertility biomarkers, and help you become more confident interpreting the patterns your body gives you each day.
This is about more than completing a chart.
It is about building body literacy, autonomy, curiosity, and trust in yourself.
Fertility Awareness for Your Intentions
Fertility awareness can serve women with different reproductive intentions. You do not have to be trying to become pregnant to benefit from understanding your cycle.
This program can be personalized to support you if you are:
- Seeking a deeper understanding of your menstrual cycle
- Learning to recognize your individual cycle patterns
- Trying to conceive
- Using fertility awareness to avoid pregnancy
- Transitioning away from hormonal contraception
- Interested in understanding ovulation and your fertile window
- Looking for greater body literacy and reproductive autonomy
Your intentions may also change over time. The knowledge and skills you develop can continue supporting you through different seasons of your reproductive life.
More Than an App Prediction
Many period-tracking apps estimate ovulation based on past cycle dates. Fertility awareness looks at the real-time information your body provides during your current cycle.
You’ll learn how to observe and chart fertility biomarkers such as:
- Cervical mucus
- Basal body temperature, or BBT
- Changes associated with ovulation
- Fertile-window patterns
- Cycle length and variation
- Luteal-phase patterns
By learning how these signs work together, you can become more confident reading your charts and recognizing your own patterns rather than expecting your body to match a textbook cycle.
Your Eight-Session Program
The program includes eight private, one-on-one sessions, generally scheduled every other week. This gives you time between visits to practice charting, gather observations, and bring your real-life charts and questions back into our work together.
Session One: Foundations + Your Cycle Story
- We’ll review your menstrual and reproductive history, talk about your goals for fertility awareness, and begin building a foundation in menstrual-cycle physiology and body literacy.
Session Two: Understanding Your Fertility Biomarkers
- We’ll explore the biomarkers you’ll be observing and begin establishing a consistent, personalized charting practice.
Session Three: Cervical Mucus + the Fertile Window
- You’ll learn about cervical mucus, how it can change throughout the cycle, and how those observations relate to fertility.
Session Four: Basal Body Temperature + Ovulation
- We’ll explore temperature charting, the hormonal shifts surrounding ovulation, and how your fertility biomarkers work together to tell the story of your cycle.
Session Five: Chart Interpretation
- We’ll begin bringing everything together through personalized chart review. You’ll have space to ask questions and better understand the patterns you are observing.
Session Six: Applying the Method to Your Goals
- We’ll explore how fertility awareness applies to your individual reproductive intentions, including any special charting considerations relevant to greater cycle awareness, conception, or avoiding pregnancy.
Session Seven: Building Confidence + Troubleshooting
- We’ll review your charts, work through areas of uncertainty, revisit charting guidelines as needed, and continue building confidence in your observations and interpretations.
Session Eight: Integration + Moving Forward
- Our final session gives us an opportunity to review what you’ve learned, address remaining questions, and create a plan for confidently continuing your fertility-awareness practice beyond our time together.
A Personalized and Collaborative Approach
Every cycle and every person is different. Our work will focus on your observations, your charts, your questions, and your goals—not on expecting your body to fit neatly into a standard 28-day cycle.
I’ll bring education, charting guidance, personalized review, and support. You’ll bring your lived experience and the information your body shares with you.
You will always remain at the center of the process.
Rooted in the Body, Not Just the Data
Understanding your menstrual cycle is not only about collecting temperatures or marking observations on a chart. It can also be an opportunity to reconnect with your body and become more curious about the rhythms you experience throughout the month.
Where appropriate, our work may include gentle somatic and body-awareness practices intended to support:
- Greater connection with your body
- Awareness of stress and nervous-system responses
- Curiosity without judgment
- Self-reflection and regulation
- Confidence in recognizing and communicating your needs
You are always invited to move at your own pace, communicate discomfort, or decline any practice that does not feel appropriate for you.
Between-Session Support
Learning fertility awareness takes education, observation, practice, and time. Questions are a natural part of that process.
Your program includes reasonable between-session support for charting questions and clarification of material we have already discussed. More complex concerns or topics requiring additional time can be explored during your next private session.
Your Program Includes
- Eight private, one-on-one sessions
